ABU DHABI : Royal Jet, the luxury private aviation operator based in the UAE, has appointed His Excellency Mohammed Bin Mahfoodh Al Ardhi as Chairman of its Board of Directors, marking a new phase of leadership and strategic growth for the company.

Al Ardhi, a globally respected business leader and the Executive Chairman of Investcorp, brings decades of experience in both military and corporate leadership. Since assuming his role at Investcorp, he has overseen a sixfold increase in assets under management, from US $10 billion to US $60 billion, expanding the firm’s global reach and investment portfolio.
Alongside his Investcorp responsibilities, he chairs the Muscat Stock Exchange and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the College of Banking and Financial Studies in Muscat.

A former Air Vice Marshal, Al Ardhi was the youngest and longest-serving Chief of the Royal Air Force of Oman, where he played a pivotal role in modernizing the force. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Order of Oman by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said in 2000.
Al Ardhi also holds distinguished academic credentials, including a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, a B.Sc. in Military Science from the UK’s Royal Air Force Staff College in Bracknell, and training at both the RAF Military Academy Cranwell and the National Defence University in Washington, D.C.
RoyalJet highlighted that Al Ardhi will lead a board comprising eminent leaders such as H.E. Hisham Khalid Towfiq Abdulkhaliq Malak, H.E. Sameera Murshed Al Romaithi, Ahmed Mohamed Darweesh Binkaram Al Qubaisi, and Mohamed Saeed Al Remeithi.
The company hailed his appointment as a milestone that will reinforce its mission to provide world-class private aviation services. “His Excellency Alardhi brings unparalleled vision, strategic acumen, and global perspective to RoyalJet,” the company said in a statement. “His leadership will guide us into a new era of growth and excellence in premium private aviation.”
