MUSCAT – According to the ROP, the housemaids attacked a housewife using bladed weapons, restrained her, and stole gold jewellery, cash, and a mobile phone before fleeing the scene. They were arrested along with three other accomplices.
In a statement issued, the ROP said: “The North Al Sharqiyah Police Command, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, arrested two housemaids for assaulting a housewife in the Wilayat of Al Qabil using bladed weapons, restraining her, and stealing gold jewelry, cash, and her phone. They were later apprehended in the Wilayat of Al Seeb along with three individuals of different nationalities who assisted in transporting them and in disposing of the stolen items at unknown locations.”
Legal procedures are currently underway against them.
