MUSCAT : The Ministry of Health has issued a clarification following discussions on social media regarding the recent decision to withdraw certain employee promotions.
In its statement, the Ministry explained that the measure comes as part of a comprehensive review of administrative procedures aimed at unifying policies and ensuring equal opportunities across all staff categories. It stressed that the decision does not infringe upon employees’ legal or professional rights.
The Ministry added that separate decisions are being issued to address the cases of affected employees, in line with the approved legal frameworks. It further assured that all employees retain the right to submit their grievances through official channels.

Reaffirming its commitment to fairness and transparency, the Ministry underlined that no official data or information published on social media should be considered accurate unless issued through the Ministry’s official platforms.
The Ministry also reiterated its dedication to protecting employee rights while continuing to develop systems and procedures that create a fair and motivating work environment — strengthening workforce stability and supporting career progression.
