MUSCAT : This marks a significant increase of over 178,000 subscriptions compared to five years ago.
The data highlights a 111 percent growth in fibre optic connections since 2020, which, the TRA described as “a step that reflects the acceleration of digital transformation and the expansion of telecommunications services in the Sultanate of Oman.”
Year-on-year growth in fibre optic subscriptions shows consistent growth as follows: 327,015 in 2024, 279,852 in 2023, 231,618 in 2022 and 184,593 in 2021.
