Climate change and environmental safety have long been top priorities for Bharat. For us, it is not just about energy; it is about maintaining a balance between life and nature. In our culture, the Earth is respected as a mother, and when Mother Earth needs us, we respond. This is why we are transforming our mindset, our behaviour, and our lifestyle.  Guided by the spirit of “People, Planet, and Progress,” Bharat has launched several key initiatives. Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (A Tree in the Name of Mother) campaign reflect our grassroots commitment. At the international level, efforts such as the International Solar Alliance, the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, the Green Hydrogen Mission, the Global Biofuels Alliance, and the Big Cats Alliance show how we are working to create global partnerships for a sustainable future.

A green future lies ahead. Bharat is moving steadily toward achieving five hundred gigawatts of non-fossil fuel energy by 2030.  The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (Prime Minister’s Free Electricity from Rooftop Solar Scheme), the National Green Hydrogen Mission, and the Vehicle Scrapping Policy are creating green jobs and environmental safeguards. The Ek Ped Maa ke Naam (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign has captured global attention. We are moving rapidly toward our target of 500 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030.

We are also accelerating work on green shipping and making Indian Railways 100% carbon-neutral by 2030.  Despite being the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Bharat stands out as the first country to achieve its Paris commitments ahead of schedule. The nation is making rapid progress toward its goal of achieving Net Zero by 2070. In the past decade alone, Bharat has witnessed a remarkable 4000% increase in its installed capacity of solar energy. Through these efforts, a strong foundation is being laid for a sustainable and green future.
