MUSCAT : The closures followed a series of intensive inspection visits conducted by the Health Affairs Department across various sites, including markets, restaurants, cafes, slaughterhouses, and traditional kitchens, as well as unlicensed operations in residential areas.
In addition to the closures, several other establishments were cited for violations related to poor hygiene practices and improper food storage.
The municipality urges the public to report any health violations or concerns through its Contact Center (toll-free 1771) or via official communication channels.
“Your safety is our priority,” the municipality emphasised in its statement, reaffirming its commitment to enforcing food safety standards and protecting consumer health across the governorate.
