MUSCAT – As part of its commitment to maintaining a safe and well-organised urban environment, Muscat Municipality urges all property owners, developers, and contractors within the Governorate of Muscat to strictly comply with the approved building and construction regulations.
“This ensures public safety and supports architectural harmony in line with local laws and standards,” it stated.
In its statement, the Municipality emphasised that:
• All necessary permits must be obtained before commencing any construction activities.
• Any modification or extension carried out without an official permit constitutes a violation and may subject the responsible party to legal action.
• Building violations may result in financial penalties or, in some cases, the removal of unauthorised structures.
