EGYPT : The brutal attack took place at the Al Dekheila courthouse in Alexandria, where the couple had arrived to resolve a divorce dispute. Eyewitnesses reported that the pair engaged in a heated verbal exchange outside a courtroom before the husband suddenly produced a concealed knife and began stabbing his wife in the neck and face.
Footage circulating online captured the terrifying moment as the man reportedly shouted, “I will kill her!” before the woman collapsed. Onlookers rushed to restrain the attacker and called for emergency help. The woman was quickly transported to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect was immediately detained and transferred to the Al Dekheila police station. An investigation is currently underway.

Preliminary reports suggest the assault was triggered by the wife’s filing for a khula case, a legal process in Egypt that allows a woman to initiate divorce by forgoing her financial rights and repaying the dowry.
