Muscat: According to official figures, a total of 1,134,924 passengers traveled through Omani airports in June 2025, up from 1,109,745 in June 2024. The growth is being credited to sustained efforts by Oman Airports and key stakeholders to elevate the Sultanate’s profile as a premier year-round travel destination.
Authorities attribute the positive trend to continuous upgrades in airport facilities, the adoption of smart technologies to improve efficiency, and enhanced passenger services that streamline the travel experience from arrival to departure.
The Dhofar Khareef season—famous for its lush landscapes and cool monsoon climate—has also played a significant role in attracting both domestic and international tourists, boosting inbound travel to the southern governorate.
