RIYADH : The high-profile forum, organised by the Saudi Ministry of Investment, brings together top government officials and business leaders from both nations, signaling a significant shift in regional diplomacy and economic cooperation after nearly a decade of suspended formal ties.
The investment initiative, launched under the directives of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aligns with the Kingdom’s broader vision for regional integration and sustainable development. According to the ministry, the deals aim to create joint ventures and sector-specific partnerships across infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, and technology.
A high-level Saudi delegation, including representatives from major firms, has arrived in Damascus to engage with Syrian counterparts, identify opportunities, and address potential barriers to investment. Several memorandums of understanding and joint venture agreements are expected to be signed during the forum.
