MUSCAT – This comes as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure and enhance the quality of services in the governorate’s wilayats.
The agreements were signed by His Excellency Najib bin Ali Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah, alongside representatives from the private companies tasked with executing the projects.

Commenting on the agreements, His Excellency Al Rawas stated that the new projects stem from a strategic plan focused on addressing priority needs for roadworks and lighting in residential, commercial, and industrial areas, while ensuring optimal use of available resources.

He added that that these projects are a cornerstone of the governorate’s municipal development strategy. They contribute to building a safe and well-planned urban environment that serves both residents and visitors.
Key projects under the agreement include internal road maintenance projects in the wilayats of Ibri, Dhank and Yanqul. These projects cover redesigning of roads and speed breakers, implementation of new speed breakers, installation of road signs, and complete asphalt replacement. The projects aim to improve infrastructure within residential and commercial areas, raise road efficiency, and enhance traffic safety and urban appearance.
The agreements also include implementation of a lighting project for the Kabara-Wadi Al Ain Road in the Wilayat of Ibri with the installation of 178 lighting poles, thereby enhancing the safety and security of road users, especially at night.
