Ohio: With his family watching, Scott Dixon produced yet another textbook performance on Sunday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, this time with a touch of fortune on his side.

For much of the race, it seemed Alex Palou was on course for yet another win in his dominant 2025 campaign. Dixon, meanwhile, had expertly executed a two-stop fuel-saving strategy to climb into second place. It was a typically strategic drive from the Iceman, though it appeared it would ultimately fall short against his in-form Chip Ganassi Racing teammate.
But with just six laps to go, the race took a dramatic turn.

Palou, who rarely makes mistakes, ran wide on corner entry and briefly veered off-track. This opened the door for Dixon, who wasted no time and surged past him to take the lead and hold his position throughout the final laps to clinch his first win of the season by just 0.4201 seconds.
The win marked his 59th career IndyCar victory and extended his extraordinary streak to 21 consecutive seasons with at least one win.

“It was definitely a tough race,” Dixon said. “We had fantastic cars. But just so much fun to try and pull off what we did and do it with what we had was fantastic.”

Christian Lundgaard completed the podium in third, followed by Colton Herta and Pato O’Ward in fourth and fifth. Felix Rosenqvist, Marcus Armstrong, Kyle Kirkwood, Rinus VeeKay, and Kyffin Simpson rounded out the top ten.
With the Mid-Ohio win, Dixon reminded the paddock that, even in his 40s, he’s still one of the sharpest racers on the grid.
