Washington – The highly anticipated final, played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, brought an exhilarating close to the tournament co-hosted by the United States and Canada with the participation of the teams of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).
Mexico’s triumph was sealed by goals from Raúl Jiménez in the 27th minute and Edson Alvarez in the 77th minute. The United States had initially taken an early lead through Chris Richards in the 4th minute, setting the stage for a tense battle.
