UN chief Guterres renews urgent call for ceasefire in Ukraine after deadly Russian drone strike

Speaking from UN headquarters in New York, Guterres stressed the urgent need to end the ongoing conflict, which has brought widespread suffering and instability. He urged all parties involved to lay down their arms and return to peaceful negotiations without delay.

The Secretary-General has consistently pushed for peace in Ukraine, warning that continued violence only deepens the crisis and endangers civilians.
