MEXICO: According to the latest NHC update, the system is currently located about 160 kilometers northeast of Veracruz and is tracking northwest across the Gulf of Mexico. In response, tropical storm warnings have been issued for coastal regions stretching from Boca de Catan to Tecolutla.
Forecasters say the storm could unleash heavy rainfall ranging between 76 to 152 millimeters — and in some areas, potentially up to 254 millimeters — across the states of Veracruz, San Luis Potosí, and Tamaulipas. Authorities have warned that such intense rainfall could trigger dangerous flash floods, especially in urban and low-lying areas.
