GCC welcomes Rwanda-DR Congo peace pact, applauds U.S. and Qatar’s role

RIYADH: In an official statement, the Secretary-General of the GCC praised the diplomatic efforts of the United States of America and the State of Qatar in facilitating the peace deal between the two African nations. He expressed hope that the agreement would help end longstanding tensions and fulfill the aspirations of both peoples for security and development.

The Secretary-General emphasized that such steps not only foster peace within the region but also contribute to broader regional and international security. He highlighted the growing global role of GCC countries in promoting peaceful solutions and maintaining stability across various conflict zones.
