Riyadh: The renewed deal cements the Portuguese superstar as the highest-paid footballer in the world—complete with luxury perks, massive bonuses, and partial club ownership.

Just weeks after hinting at an end to his Saudi journey, Ronaldo has committed to Al-Nassr with a blockbuster two-year contract extension. Despite being the top scorer in the league since his arrival in 2023, the club has fallen short of winning the league title or qualifying for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Yet, the tides have turned swiftly. “Cristiano Ronaldo is staying at @AlNassrFC until 2027,” the club announced on social media—ending all speculation about a possible return to Europe.

According to Talksport, the deal guarantees Ronaldo £178 million (approximately ₹2,000 crore) per year. The package includes:

A £24.5 million signing bonus (increasing to £38 million in the second year)

Performance-based bonuses: £8 million for a league title, £5 million for an Asian Champions League victory, and £4 million for winning the golden boot

A 15% ownership stake in Al-Nassr, estimated at £33 million

Goal and assist incentives: £80,000 per goal and £40,000 per assist, with a 20% increase in the second year

£60 million in promised sponsorship deals

£4 million in covered private jet expenses

Ronaldo’s influence on Saudi football has been undeniable. His 2023 arrival triggered a wave of international stars joining the league, transforming its global image
