MUSCAT : Katz said the response would focus on regime-linked sites in the heart of the Iranian capital, asserting that Iran had broken the terms of the ceasefire by launching at least two ballistic missiles at Israeli territory earlier in the day.
The Israeli military has been instructed to “respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran,” Katz said in a statement.
The move comes amid renewed tensions despite an earlier declaration by U.S. President Donald Trump of a “complete and total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran.
