Athens : Local authorities reported that 11 firefighting planes and helicopters were deployed to contain the fire, and 16 villages were evacuated due to heavy smoke.
The Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum said that approximately 629 refugees were transferred to safety and will remain in a gym for as long as necessary.
