MUSCAT : The guidelines emphasise protective clothing, adequate hydration, and early symptom recognition.
The Ministry urges all workers to adhere to the following recommendations for a safe summer without health problems:
• Wear light, loose-fitting and light-coloured clothing made of breathable materials.
• Use protective hats and helmets designed to shield from direct sun exposure.
• Do not ignore early symptoms such as dizziness or fatigue.
• Drink water regularly, about a glass every 15-20 minutes, even without feeling overly thirsty.
• Avoid drinks containing caffeine, excess sugar, or carbonated beverages.
• Eat nutritious snacks to reduce the heat load from digestion.
• Report any abnormal symptoms to your supervisor immediately.
