RIYADH: In an official statement issued through the GCC’s Emergency Management Centre, the Secretariat stated that environmental and radiation levels remain within safe and technically permissible limits in all six GCC countries.
The announcement comes in light of ongoing regional developments, which have sparked public concern and speculation over environmental safety.
The General Secretariat stressed that it is working in close coordination with relevant national authorities in member states and will continue to monitor the situation through established early warning and radiation monitoring systems. Any updates will be shared on an ongoing basis as soon as they are received, it added.
