DGCA orders Air India to remove three officials over operational lapses

India's aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has instructed Air India to immediately relieve three officials of their duties over serious operational lapses

New Delhi: The DGCA has directed Air India to remove three officials from all responsibilities related to crew scheduling and rostering, citing their role in operational failures. The regulator emphasized that these lapses compromised safety and efficiency standards.

In addition to their removal, the DGCA has ordered the airline to initiate internal disciplinary proceedings against the individuals without delay. According to a report by ANI, the outcome of these proceedings must be submitted to the DGCA within 10 days.

This move reflects the DGCA’s increasing scrutiny of airline operations and its commitment to maintaining strict regulatory compliance in the aviation sector
