NEW DELHI: In a strongly worded statement shared on its official X handle, the U.S. Embassy said the U.S. government has introduced fresh visa restrictions aimed at foreign government officials and others found aiding or enabling unlawful immigration and smuggling networks.
The statement emphasized that “the United States will not tolerate those who facilitate illegal and mass immigration,” adding that the Trump Administration had previously designated several criminal cartels involved in such activities as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
The embassy further cautioned that countries that fail to cooperate in repatriating their nationals from the U.S. could face sweeping consequences, including significant limitations on the ability of their citizens to enter the United States.
