Amman: The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) of Jordan confirmed that the country’s airspace was reopened at 7:30 a.m. local time. The decision follows a 24-hour suspension of all incoming, outgoing, and transit flights as a precautionary measure amid heightened regional tensions.
Haitham Misto, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners at CARC, announced the resumption and reassured the public and airlines of safety measures in place.
On Friday, Jordan had proactively closed its skies due to concerns over potential risks stemming from Israeli attacks on Iran. The move came as a part of the country’s response strategy to safeguard civil aviation and ensure passenger security during unfolding developments.
