Air India offers ₹25 lakh interim aid to families of crash victims

Air India has announced an interim compensation of ₹25 lakh (approx. £21,000) for each family of the deceased and the survivor of the recent tragic plane crash

Muscat: In an official statement, Air India expressed deep sorrow over the fatal accident and reaffirmed its solidarity with the families of the passengers who lost their lives.

“Our teams on the ground are doing everything possible to extend care and support during this incredibly difficult time,” the airline stated.

The ₹25 lakh interim payment is meant to help the families and the lone survivor manage immediate financial needs. This is in addition to the ₹1 crore (approx. £85,000) assistance already announced by Tata Sons.

“All of us at Air India are deeply saddened by this loss. We mourn with the families, loved ones, and everyone affected,” the statement added, underscoring the airline’s commitment to stand by those impacted.
