Riyadh: The award was presented during the annual “Khatama Misk” closing ceremony, hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Guests of Allah Program at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mecca. The event aimed to honour distinguished Hajj Affairs Offices and non-profit organisations for their outstanding contributions to serving pilgrims.
Oman’s recognition stems from the diligent work of its Hajj Mission, which is known for its proactive health planning and high-quality medical support extended to Omani pilgrims. Each year, the mission is accompanied by a dedicated medical team from Oman’s Ministry of Health, comprising doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists. This delegation sets up a medical clinic on-site, offering round-the-clock healthcare in close coordination with Saudi medical authorities.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, applauded the collaborative efforts between government entities, civil society, and Hajj offices, which played a critical role in the seamless and safe execution of the Hajj season. He also announced the delivery of the preliminary arrangements document to Hajj Affairs Offices, including Oman’s.
