SYDNEY : Cricket Australia announced on Tuesday that 311,066 tickets were purchased for international matches in the upcoming home season, eclipsing the previous single-day record of 111,741 tickets set ahead of the 2017–18 Ashes. The first three days of the Brisbane and Sydney Tests, as well as day one of the iconic Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, sold out within hours.

The 2025–26 Ashes series will see Australia defend the urn across five Tests against England, beginning in Perth in late November. The series continues with a day-night Test in Brisbane, followed by matches in Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney through December and January.

Australia has dominated recent home Ashes campaigns, winning 4-0 in both the 2017–18 and 2021–22 series before retaining the urn with a 2-2 draw in England in 2023. England’s last Test win Down Under came during their 2010–11 tour.

More ticket batches will be released soon for fans who pre-registered, while general ticket sales will open on June 13.
