MUSCAT : Organised by the Hyderabadi community in Muscat, DBCL Season 4 saw enthusiastic participation from twelve teams and vibrant support from the Deccani and Indian diaspora, alongside Omani cricket lovers. The semi-final clashes featured Deccan Eagles vs. Deccan Chargers and Team Deccan vs. Hyderabad Paltan, setting the stage for an electrifying final.
Team Deccan chose to bat first, putting up 51 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 8 overs. Shahrukh, Sabir, and Mohsin each claimed a wicket for the Eagles. In response, Deccan Eagles chased down the target with grit, scoring 52 runs for 6 wickets in 7.5 overs. Mansoor was named Man of the Match for his decisive contribution.
Arshad’s consistent all-round performance throughout the tournament earned him the Man of the Series title. Ahmed Khan and Abdul Haseeb were recognised as Best Batsman and Best Bowler respectively. A special Man of the Match trophy was awarded to young Master Touseef of Deccan Muscateers for his spirited effort.

The final match, held in the late evening, drew a large and energetic crowd. Mansoor Sabri and Sohail Khan presented the Champions Trophy to Deccan Eagles’ captain Mohammed Atif Hussain, while Sayeed Quadri handed the Runners-up Trophy to Team Deccan’s captain Faiyaz.
Distinguished guests including Dr. Wasifuddin, Consultant Oncologist at Royal Hospital, and prominent community members such as Abdul Samad, Abdul Aziz, Dawood Khan, Ahmed Maseehuddin, and Salman took part in the prize distribution ceremony, lauding the players and organisers alike.
The organising committee, led by Zaheer Al Deen and supported by Mirza Zulkhader, Fasi, Zaki Ahmed, Naimat, and Mohamed Ali Al Din, received praise for seamlessly managing yet another successful edition of the popular tournament. Ground operations were efficiently supported by Kabir, Junaid, and Mastan (Scoring).
