MUSCAT: In honour of the official Visit of His Excellency Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the Sultanate of Oman, Oman Post, a member of the Asyad Group, and the Iranian National Post, proudly announces the launch of a commemorative joint stamp today at Al Alam Palace, Muscat. This special release celebrates the enduring cultural and historical bonds between the countries and underscores the shared commitment of maintaining strong neighborly ties, meaningful cooperation, and enriching cultural dialogue.

The stamp’s design beautifully merges iconic architectural and cultural symbols from both nations. Central to the piece is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, a hallmark of Omani Islamic architecture, flanked by palm trees symbolising resilience and Oman’s rich agricultural heritage. Opposite stands the historic Bastak Grand Mosque of southern Iran, surrounded by Cypress trees, emblematic of Persian cultural values such as stability and resilience.

At the heart of the design lies a handwoven Persian carpet, inspired by the exquisite carpet housed within the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Crafted in Iran’s Khorasan province and adorned with intricate floral motifs, this carpet represents the fine craftsmanship and cultural exchange that unite the two lands.

Above this tableau shines a radiant sun, symbolising renewal and hope for a prosperous future, reflecting the aspirations of Oman and Iran for continued fruitful collaboration. A soaring carrier pigeon conveys a timeless message of peace, communication, and friendship.

This joint initiative reaffirms Oman Post and the Iranian National Post’s dedication to strengthening postal cooperation, expanding partnerships, and delivering mutual benefits to the peoples of both countries.
