GENEVA: The young champion’s back-to-back wins come on the heels of his historic victory at the eight-star Estonia Grand Prix earlier this month, where he stunned the global martial arts community by defeating the world’s number one in the -45kg weight category. That victory propelled Al-Balushi to fifth place in the global rankings, marking him as a rising force in international taekwondo.

Under the expert guidance of national coach Adel Al Wahaibi, Al-Balushi delivered a stellar performance in Geneva, showcasing both technical brilliance and mental resilience.

This golden double now sets the stage for Al-Balushi’s participation in major upcoming events including the 2025 Asian Championship and the Grand Prix series in China and Bosnia. All eyes are now on the Omani star as he sharpens his focus on his ultimate goal — the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
