Muscat: The sighting is scheduled for Tuesday evening, May 27, 2025.
In a public announcement, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs invited everyone across the Sultanate to look out for the crescent of Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH on the 29th of Dhu al-Qi’dah, corresponding to May 27, 2025. This marks an important Islamic occasion that determines the start of the month in which the Hajj pilgrimage and Eid Al-Adha take place.
The ministry urged all those who successfully sight the crescent to promptly inform the authorities by contacting the offices of Their Excellencies the Governors or Their Eminences the Judges. Additional contact phone numbers have also been made available for this purpose.
