Muscat – The Security and Safety Services Corporation, which was assigned some duties by the Ministry of Labour to ensure efficiency of labour inspections, continues to provide diverse solutions and services to protect property and individuals, and to provide a safe and stable environment for establishments in the public and private sectors, with specialised and trained Omani cadres.
Retired Brigadier General Said bin Sulaiman al Asmi, CEO of the Corporation, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the company represents a successful national model of partnership between the public and private sectors by providing specialised security and safety services that meet the needs of various establishments.
He stated that the Corporation’s inspection unit arrested 23,566 labour market violators last year and deported 18,053. This year, from January to May, the number of arrested violators reached 12,319, while 7,615 were deported.

He also highlighted the company’s achievement of 100 percent Omanisation, having absorbed more than 12,000 citizens into its ranks, confirming its commitment to empowering national cadres. The total number of members currently exceeds 12,210 citizens across all governorates.
He noted that 665 citizens have been employed by the Corporation since the start of the year, with an expected 2,000 more to be absorbed by May 2026. The Corporation also trains and qualifies 1,800 Omani citizens annually for various roles, particularly in guarding and safety operations.
In addition to labour law enforcement, it also contributes to coastal surveillance in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, deploying drones and equipped vehicles to prevent illegal fishing. More than 400 citizens have been trained in this area.
Al Asmi emphasised the Corporation’s commitment to innovation, stating future plans include the expansion of industrial firefighting capabilities and occupational health services, the adoption of artificial firefighting technologies, and the opening of regional branches by 2030.
