MUSCAT : The Central Bank of Oman confirmed that the recently circulated publication claiming to represent the symbol for the Omani Rial is entirely incorrect and not endorsed by the Bank. CBO emphasized that this misleading representation is unlawful and should not be shared or promoted.
“The publication is incorrect and has no connection to the Central Bank of Oman, which means that it violates the law,” the Bank stated, urging the public to act responsibly and avoid spreading unverified content.
The Bank further advised citizens and residents to obtain information only through official and verified channels, reiterating the importance of relying on accurate sources to prevent confusion or misinterpretation.
