Muscat – The total number of passengers reached 3,541,038, marking a 7.8 percent decline compared to 3,840,354 passengers recorded during the same period in 2024.

Muscat International Airport handled approximately 3,183,817 passengers by the end of March 2025, marking an 8.6 percent decline from the 3,482,325 passengers in the corresponding period of the previous year. The total number of flights at Muscat International Airport also saw a decrease of 11.3 percent, totalling 22,347 flights compared to 25,204 flights during the same period of the previous year.
In contrast, Salalah Airport recorded a 5.4 percent increase in the number of passengers until the end of March 2025, reaching 342,491 passengers, compared to 325,035 passengers during the same period in 2024. However, the total number of flights at the airport declined 5.3 percent to 2,166, down from 2,288.
Sohar Airport experienced a sharp decline, with the number of flights falling 64.9 percent, reaching 54 flights, compared to 154 flights during the same period last year. The total number of passengers also recorded a 98.2 percent decrease, reaching 307 passengers, compared to 17,462 passengers at the end of March 2024.

Duqm Airport saw a 2.6 percent decrease in the number of flights by the end of March 2025, recording 152 flights compared to 156 flights during the same period last year. The number of passengers also declined by 7.1 percent to 14,423 passengers, compared to 15,532 passengers at the end of March last year.

Among nationalities traveling through Muscat International Airport, Indian nationals topped the list with 158,094 passengers (79,641 arrivals and 78,453 departures), followed by Omani nationals with 58,187 passengers (29,575 arrivals and 28,612 departures), and Pakistani nationals with 39,982 passengers (16,263 arrivals and 23,719 departures).
