Muscat: According to data released by the Civil Aviation Authority’s Meteorological Department, the rising temperatures show no signs of slowing down. Sohar topped the list with 47.1°C, followed closely by Shinas at 46.0°C and Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan at 45.7°C. Other regions such as Izki (44.7°C), Al Awabi (44.4°C), and Baushar (43.9°C) also experienced extreme heat.
The inland cities of Nizwa and Sur each recorded 43.8°C, while Ibra and Samail registered 43.7°C. Even Muscat Airport saw temperatures spike to 43.1°C, highlighting the widespread impact of the heatwave across both coastal and interior regions.
