Muscat – In an official announcement, the Ministry urged affected property owners to visit the Directorate General of Housing and Urban Planning in Sohar during official working hours between May 18 and May 30, 2025.
The announcement reads as follows: “Dear citizens, the Directorate General of Housing and Urban Planning in North Al Batinah Governorate calls on citizens whose properties are affected by the railway project to visit the Directorate in Sohar to complete the procedures for cash and in-kind compensation for the lands affected by residential, commercial and industrial uses during official working hours from 5/18/2025 to 5/30/2025.”
As stated, the compensation applies to properties impacted by the railway project, including residential, commercial, and industrial lands.
Citizens are requested to bring the following documents:
• Personal identification documents of the concerned party.
• A valid power of attorney if the concerned party is not present.
• The original title deed of the affected property.
• Legal notification of death and personal documents of heirs
