MUSCAT : The agreements, signed under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, will cover the third, fourth, and fifth sections of the road’s dualization. The expected implementation period for these final parts is 36 months.
This strategic project aims to complete the dual carriageway from the Wilayat of Adam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate to the Wilayat of Thumrait in Dhofar Governorate, building on the 317 kilometres already developed to the north. Once completed, the route from Muscat to Dhofar will become the longest dualised road in the Sultanate.
“The project will complete the efficiency of road connectivity in the Sultanate of Oman especially between its north and south, and will contribute to the growth of economic and tourism activity,” said the Minister.
