Muscat – Following a request from the CPA, the Public Prosecution has ordered the temporary closure of a company specializing in the sale and installation of doors due to repeated failures to provide services within agreed timelines.
As per a statement from the CPA, the Public Prosecution decided to suspend the activity pending the resolution of the lawsuit filed against the establishment, based on the Consumer Protection Law issued by Royal Decree No. 66/2014.
The Authority noted that the establishment breached the conditions of the agreement and delayed providing the service within the specified and agreed upon time. It also failed to comply with the Authority’s review to consider the repeated complaints against it.
The Authority took legal action and addressed the Public Prosecution, which in turn issued a decision to temporarily close the facility and suspend its activities until the lawsuits filed against it are resolved.
