MUSCAT: Syed Ahmad Salman, the newly elected Chairman of Board of Directors (BOD) of Indian Schools, outlined the Board’s forward-looking initiatives aimed at syncing the Indian school system in Oman with global educational standards.

These initiatives include not just curriculum innovation, but also substantial investment in infrastructure to better prepare students and educators for the challenges of tomorrow.

A key component of this transformation is an ongoing infrastructural audit across all Indian Schools in Oman to ensure equitable access to quality facilities. Major development works are already underway at Indian School Muscat (Jibroo campus), Indian School Darsait, Indian School Seeb, Indian School Sur, and Indian School Salalah. Additional campuses are slated for future upgrades as part of this comprehensive overhaul.

To meet rising demand from the Indian expatriate community, the Board has also begun feasibility studies for establishing new Indian Schools in the fast-growing areas of Barka and Sinaw. These steps reaffirm the Board’s dedication to extending access to high-quality education across the Sultanate, particularly in regions currently underserved.
