Muscat: The Public Prosecution announced that the defendant, Saud bin Abdullah bin Bayrouh, was found guilty of misusing digital platforms to assault individuals verbally through insults and slander.
The court sentenced him to a fine of RO 1,000, with RO 500 to be executed. Additionally, his mobile phone—used in the commission of the offense—was ordered to be confiscated. The judgment also mandates the publication of the ruling, emphasizing transparency and accountability in cases involving cyber offenses.
