Muscat – The General Secretariat of the Arab League stated that it hopes the agreement will alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people, de-escalate the current military escalation, and contribute to ongoing diplomatic efforts to halt the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and other important issues in the region.
It will also restore navigation security in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and ensure the smooth flow of international commercial shipping through the region’s seas and waterways.
The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States reiterated its commitment to the League Council’s resolutions regarding support for the legitimate Yemeni government and the measures it is taking to preserve the unity and sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen.
