MUSCAT : The aim of this important national initiative is to gather vital health data that will contribute to the country’s efforts in combating noncommunicable diseases.
During this phase, one individual from each selected household will be chosen to participate in a comprehensive health assessment. The participant will undergo a health interview and physical measurements, which will include assessments of height, weight, waist circumference, and blood pressure.
A follow-up home visit will be scheduled while the participant is fasting to conduct further biochemical tests, including a blood sugar test and cholesterol level test. Additionally, the participant will be asked to provide a urine sample for analysis.
The Ministry of Health is urging all selected individuals to fully engage in the survey and take advantage of this opportunity to gain insights into their health. Authorities are also advising the public to disregard any misinformation or rumours surrounding the survey process.
The Ministry emphasizes the importance of public cooperation in this initiative, highlighting that collective participation will contribute to building a healthier Oman.
