Oman returns to work after 9-day Eid break

As the 9-day Eid holidays came to an end on Saturday, offices in both the public and private sector are expected to witness full attendance from Sunday onwards

MUSCAT: With the 9-day Eid Al Adha holidays coming to an end, offices in both public and private sector are expected to witness full attendance from Sunday, April 6, 2025 onwards.

Government and private sector offices will reopen on Sunday after the 9-day Eid holidays. “We had a good break and could spend some valuable time with family,” said Ahmed Al Ajmi, a government employee living in Al Khoud.

On Saturday, Muscat International Airport witnessed heavy traffic on with people returning to the country after holidaying abroad. “I flew to India for a short but good holiday. I could meet my relatives and spend some good time with them,” said Senthil Krishna who went on an Eid break to Chennai. Eid Al Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals, was celebrated in the country amid much enthusiasm and fervour last week.
