MUSCAT : The CPA, in coordination with the Oman Environmental Holding Company (Be’ah), seized 2,300 bags (each weighing 100 grams), amounting to 230,000 grams, and destroyed it after completing the necessary legal procedures.
The items in question violated Decision No. 256/2015 and its subsequent amendments, which prohibit the trade of such products due to the significant health risks they pose to consumers.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to actively monitoring markets and taking swift legal action against violators. It also urged consumers to stay vigilant and report any suspected violations through the various communication channels available, helping ensure a safe and regulated marketplace for all.
