MUSCAT : According to preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), this figure shows an increase of rose by 1.7 percent compared to RO the 37.674 billion (at constant prices) during the same period in 2023.
The added value of oil activities decreased by 3.0 percent, recording RO 11,847,300,000 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to RO 12,209,700,000 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2023. The contribution of oil activities amounted to 29.0 percent.
The added value of crude oil activities reached RO 9,973,700,000, showing a decrease of 3.0 percent, while natural gas activities increased by 5.4 percent, recording RO 1,837,700,000.
The added value of non-oil activities increased by 3.9 percent, recording RO 27,869,900,000 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to RO 26,834,000,000 million at the end of the same quarter of 2023.
The total added value of industrial activities amounted to RO 8,395,900,000, compared to RO 7,993,400,000 at the end of the fourth quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, agriculture, forestry, and fishing activities recorded RO 987,400,000, while service activities amounted to RO 18,486,500,000.
