Muscat – These solar cells, known for their high efficiency, low cost, flexibility, and environmental friendliness, align with the country’s vision of increasing reliance on solar energy.

Nour bint Mohammed Al Mayahiyah, Public Relations Manager for Aura, explained that the company specialises in developing and producing solar energy solutions, with a particular focus on perovskite technologies to enhance solar energy efficiency. The company aims to provide clean and efficient energy, reduce dependence on traditional solar panels, and contribute to achieving both environmental and economic sustainability in Oman.

She pointed out that the idea to establish Aura came from observing the limitations of traditional solar energy technologies, such as low conversion efficiency, high production costs, and complex manufacturing processes. After extensive research, the company discovered that perovskite technology could offer a more innovative and efficient alternative. As a result, Aura was founded to develop this technology and create practical products that meet market demands.

Since unveiling their prototype, Aura has seen growing interest in their products and concept, particularly from companies and institutions seeking clean and efficient energy solutions.

Among Aura’s major achievements is the successful development of the first local prototype of perovskite solar cells. The company has also participated in numerous competitions, including Injaz Oman and the Science Festival, attracting attention from both the public and private sectors for its potential as a sustainable energy source.
