DUBAI: Posing as authorised agents, the scammers convinced individuals to transfer money via bank transactions, claiming to facilitate fast visa processing. Once payments were made, the gang blocked communication, leaving victims defrauded and stranded.
Authorities issued a public warning, urging residents to only obtain pilgrimage visas through licensed UAE agencies and to remain vigilant against online ads offering unrealistically low prices.
