KOCHI: Indian superstar Mammootty’s PR team has clarified that the actor was taking a break from films and strongly dismissed rumors that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer
In a statement released on March 17th, the team clarified that the online reports were entirely baseless and that the 73-year-old star had taken time off for Ramadan.
Speaking to Mid-Day, Mammootty’s PR team stated: “It is fake news. He is on vacation because he is fasting for Ramadan. He is on a break from his shoot schedule as well because of that. In fact, after the break, he will go back to shooting for Mahesh Narayanan’s film with Mohanlal.”
