Muscat: The Asian Championship serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Beach Handball World Cup, with nine teams competing. Oman has been placed in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong (China), and the Maldives, while Group B features Iran, the Philippines, Jordan, Pakistan, and India.
The team’s preparation program begins tomorrow, Wednesday, with daily training at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bousher until the end of March. Efforts are also underway to secure friendly matches ahead of the Gulf Championship, scheduled for April 4–11.
