MUSCAT : Al Shabab head coach Hassan Rustam expressed confidence in his team’s ability to create history. “We will give our best performance to win the cup,” Rustam said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Acknowledging the challenge of facing a title-winning team like Seeb, Rustam stressed that his squad is fully prepared—both mentally and technically. He noted that first-time finalists have also claimed the title in the past, emphasizing that his players are ready to fight for 90 minutes.

While Al Shabab will miss their Brazilian professional player, there is optimism that Ahed al Hudaifi could make a comeback from injury. Defender Khalid al Braiki described the final as a dream for every Omani player.”

Al Braiki also highlighted the crucial role of fan support, calling them the “number one” factor in boosting team morale.

On the other side, Seeb head coach Nikola Djurovic emphasized the significance of the final, describing it as a special game for the team, the club, and the fans.

Djurovic reflected on their previous league loss to Al Shabab, admitting that missed chances and fatigue played a role. He said that his players are in better physical and mental shape for the final.

The Seeb coach stressed that psychological preparation is as vital as physical readiness, noting that his team has overcome a tight schedule of 15-16 matches since December.

Seeb captain Eid al Farsi echoed his coach’s sentiments, stating that the team’s full focus has been on the final since their semi-final victory over Sohar.
